Heroine is the latest offering from the stable of realistic Director Madhur Bhandarkar who has earlier made award winning films like Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Traffic Signal.
UTV Group along with Bhandarkar has produced the film which will hit the screens on 21st September which incidentally also happens to be birthday of Kareena Kapoor, its lead actress.
Undisputed queen of Bollywood Kareena Kapoor essays the role of a Bollywood actress Mahi Arora in the film. The story deals with the ups and down in the actress’ life. According to Kareena, the film is 80% factual. Other actors in the film include Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Ranvir Shorey, Divya Dutta, Shahana Goswami, Helen among others.
Music has been scored by Salim-Suleiman with Choreography by Ganesh Acharya.
The trailer has already hit the market and expectations are running high for the film which promises to showcase Kareena like never before. The film with all its bold scenes and with Kareena smoking, promises to light up the big screens.
Heroine for all its controversies right from Ashwariya Rai Bachchan’s sudden exit from the project to the current smoking fiasco involving the I&B Ministry, promises to be Madhur’s best work till date.
